Planning Board minutes for Thursday August 10, 2017
- The meeting opened at 7:12 p.m.
- Members present: Stephen Enoch, co-chair, Don Coburn, Tom Sawyer, co-chair, Roger Tryon and Richard Piepho.
- Members absent: Larry Klein, Pat Salomon.
- Public present: John Szablowski, Hume Camp.
- Clerk: Maggie Leonard
- There was no business from the public.
- The board reviewed that Article 34 at the Annual Town Meeting did not pass. This was the article with regard to multi-family dwellings acreage and frontage requirements.
- The board read the minutes from 7-27-17 and approved them as written.
- The board reviewed a noise ordinance from Great Barrington. Other surrounding towns, Tyringham, Otis, New Marlborough, Sandisfield, do not have noise ordinances (or at least none that we could find). The board discussed Air Bnb and its relation to noise issues. Don Coburn made a motion to wait for members Pat Salomon and Larry Klein before further deliberations. The motion was seconded and all were in favor.
- The board reviewed the maps for the Kirson special permit application and approved the first draft of the finding.
- Mail:
- Monterey Library letter with questions regarding their signage.
- Town of Great Barrington, notice of decision for a special permit; MacDonald’s renovation approved.
- Town of Sandisfield, notice of a public hearing on August 28, 2017, for permitting for a handcraft and woodworking store on Sears Road.
- Meeting adjourned at 8:03 p.m.
